Last Seen... In Bamurru Plains, Northern Territory
Last month I was lucky enough to be in the NT. A cool 33 degrees. For two nights I stayed at Bamurru Plains, part of ‘Wild Bush Luxury’ on the edge of Kakadu National Park. This lazy water buffalo sums it up. It was lounging opposite the safari camp on the Mary River flood-plains. I was hoping to see a croc, but failed to spot one. Who needs a croc, though, when you have thousands of whistling ducks taking off, their beating wings filling the air? Or when you are skimming in an air-boat through fields of pearly pink lotus flowers? A fabulous sight. Sigh. The reason why I do what I do…
